Answer: In the future that we have been predicting, there will come a time when some major plumbing installations will be done by robots. Imagine a machine on wheels with a metal arm and a special nozzle head, programmed to fix plumbing pipes. This robot is controlled remotely by an expert from somewhere else in the world using instructions for how to do the job on their iPad or smartphone.

This technology would save on costs and labor hours as it would take only two people instead of 5 co-workers with elaborate equipment such as jackhammers, saws and shovels. Robots may not be able to work under water like human plumbers but they can climb onto roofs without any danger of falling off for example which would allow them to repair leaky
